GETTING TO SFO – Alternatives

The AirTrain is SFO’s “fully automated people mover.”  It operates on two lines—the Red Line, which connects all terminals, terminal garages and the BART Station; and the Blue Line, which connects those same locations with the Rental Car Center.  SFO’s Long Term Parking Lot is not connected to the AirTrain.

From the SFO BART station, travelers can go directly to San Mateo County, San Francisco and the East Bay.

The SamTrans bus has stops at Terminal 3 and the International Terminal and goes directly to San Mateo County and parts of San Francisco and Palo Alto.
