Logan International Airport is the largest airport in New England, and ranks as the 20th busiest airport in the U.S. in terms of passengers. In 2008, the airport saw just over 26 million travelers. Market share is split up; no one airline dominates at Logan. As of July 2009, JetBlue has the largest share of passengers (17%), followed by American (15%), US Airways (14%), Delta (12%), and United (11%).

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Subway/Bus – Public Transit
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (better known as the MBTA or the “T”) provides subway and bus service to Logan.
Free shuttle buses run from the terminals to the Airport Station subway line for connection to the Blue Line.
Another option is Silver Line Rapid Transit Bus Service. Silver Line route SL1 (Logan Airport – South Station via Waterfront) provides direct connection to and from Boston Logan Airport and South Station (Servicing the Commuter Rail, Greyhound, Amtrak and Peter Pan Bus Lines) on the MBTA Red Line via the Waterfront.
