Philadelphia International Airport is a major hub for US Airways, and serves as the carrier’s international gateway. Southwest Airlines is the next biggest carrier at the airport. In 2008, the busy facility served over 31 million passengers.

Taxis
Taxis can be picked up at Zone 5 on the Commercial Transportation Roadway. There is a flat rate of $28.50 for trips to the Central Philadelphia area, and a minimum fare of $10 for any trip originating from the airport.

Located seven (7) miles from downtown Philadelphia, the Airport is easily accessible from Interstates 76, 95, and 476. In addition, rail service to the Airport is available on SEPTA’S High Speed Rail Line (R1) train that operates from 5:25 AM until 11:25 PM daily, every 30 minutes, with easy connections to AMTRAK at 30th Street Station and regional rail lines at 30th Street, Suburban and Market East stations.
