Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport – or simply “Metro Airport” as it’s often called – is one of the busiest hubs in the U.S. In 2008, it served 35 million passengers, making it the 13th busiest airport in the nation. Once a major Northwest Airlines hub, DTW is now the second-busiest hub for Delta Air Lines.

GETTING AROUND THE AIRPORT
Complimentary shuttle service is provided from parking lots to the terminals. Shuttle buses also run between the terminals and connect to Westin airport hotel.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Car Rentals
Eight rental car companies provide service at Metro: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, and National. Thrifty is located off the airport.
Public Transportation
SMART is the public transit provider in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. A bus stop is located on the outer roadway (lower level) near the Ground Transportation offices at the North Terminal. http://www.smartbus.org/smart/home
Taxis & Limos

PARKING
There are three lots at Metro Airport: McNamara Garage, Big Blue Deck Garage, and the Yellow lots.
The McNamara Terminal has 11,500 spaces. Click here for rates.
The Big Blue Deck Garage, next to the North Terminal, has 6,500 spaces. Click here for rates.
The Yellow Lot, near the North Terminal, is a surface lot with a daily flat rate of $11.
Additionally, Metro offers two Cell Phone waiting lots – one north of the North Terminal, and the other to the south of the McNamara Terminal.
SHOPPING, DINING, AND OTHER SERVICES
Both the McNamara and North Terminals feature a wide variety of food and retail outlets.
There’s one hotel located at Metro Airport, the Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
WI-FI
Complimentary Wi-Fi is not provided at Metro Airport. However, paid service is available through Boingo, which provides coverage throughout the terminals.
