GETTING AROUND THE AIRPORT

AirTrain is the way to get to, from, and around the airport. Operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  AirTrain provides easy connections to NJ Transit and the rail lines that run on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line.  Free to ride between the terminals, parking lots, and rental car facilities.

When you buy a NJ TRANSIT or Amtrak ticket to or from Newark Liberty International Airport Station, that one ticket includes the AirTrain Newark portion $5.50. Children under age 5 ride for free.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Public Transportation
AirTrain Newark connects NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak with Newark Liberty International Airport. 
Bus service is available through NJ Transit Bus Lines 37, 40, 62, 67.

Rental Cars
Finding your rental is easy with AirTrain. Avis, Hertz and National are located at Station P3. Budget, Dollar and courtesy vehicles for Enterprise can be found at Station P2.

Taxis
Weekday rush hours (6-9am, 4-7pm) and weekends from 12noon-8pm, there’s an extra $5 surcharge to all points in New York State, except Staten Island.  Extra charge for bags over 24 inches. Fares to Manhattan: $50 to $70, depending on zone. Click here for rate details.

A number of shuttle services operate from Newark, offering connections into New York City, as well as other parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.  More information.

Connecting to Other Airports
Travelers needing to connect to JFK or LaGuardia airports have a number of options.  Aside from taxis ($60 plus tolls to JFK, $50 plus tolls to LaGuardia) and limo service, there are also a number of shuttle buses available, along with public transportation.  Click here for a list of the providers.

PARKING

Newark offers short term, daily, economy, restricted mobility, and valet parking.

Short-term lots A, B, and the C parking garage: $3 per half-hour, $33 daily max.
Daily lots P1, P3, and P4 parking garage: $3 per half-hour. P1/3 daily max of $24, P4 daily max of $27.
Economy Lot 6: $18 first day; thereafter, $6 per 8 hour period.
Restricted Mobility: $3 per half-hour. Daily max. of $18.
Valet/P4 Garage: Up to 24 hrs, $40. $20 per 12-hour period thereafter.

WiFi is provided by Boingo: $4.95 per hour, $7.95 per day, or $9.95 per month.
