Details of the agreement have not yet been made public.

If you’re trying to fly Spirit Airlines this week, you might want to have some Pepto Bismol on hand.  You may have to deal with indigestion trying to rearrange your travel plans.

Pilots walked off the job Saturday, marking the first strike at a U.S. airline in five years.

Spirit Airlines, the carrier that just recently announced plans to charge for carry-on bags, has found a new innovation — seats that don’t recline.

Spirit is installing the new non-reclining seats on two new Airbus A320 jets, says the Palm Beach Post.

One of the jets is operating between Fort Lauderdale and Washington, D.C.  The other jet is being used between Fort Lauderdale and New York-LaGuardia.

For a small airline, Spirit Airlines sure knows how to make other big carriers look like rank amateurs when it comes to nickel and diming customers.

Just when you think an airline couldn’t possibly charge you a fee for anything else, think again.

Ultra low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has decided to begin charging passengers as much as $45 for a carry-on bag.

If you don’t pay a $39 fee to join their “$9 Fare Club”, you will get hit with a $45 charge, unless you “reserve” a spot for your carry-on in advance.  In that case, the fee is $30.
