United Flight Skids Off Runway in Ottawa

An investigation is underway in Ottawa, after a United Express commuter jet ran off the runway upon landing at the city’s Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Wednesday.

United Flight 8050, an Embraer RJ145 coming from Washington Dulles Airport, ended up nose-down about 165 yards from the end of Runway 07 Wednesday afternoon.  There was heavy rain at the time.

Warning: Sleeping on a Plane Can Lead to Lawsuits

Warning: Falling asleep on an airline could result in false imprisonment, emotional distress, and negligence.

At least that’s what one passenger aboard a United Airlines flight is claiming in a lawsuit, after she was left sleeping aboard her flight for three hours after it had landed.

Bomb Threat Diverts Continental Flight

A Continental Airlines flight made an unscheduled landing this morning in North Carolina after a bomb threat was made.

Continental flight 3006, was going from Houston Intercontinental Airport, destined for Washington Dulles Airport.

The Embraer 145 aircraft was carrying about 45 people, according to preliminary reports.
